Biography
Ahmad Redi earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in law from the University of Indonesia after previously earning his bachelor’s degree in law from Diponegoro University. Ahmad Redi also completed a master’s degree in environmental science at the University of Indonesia’s School of Environmental Sciences.
Various courses have been taken by Ahmad Redi, both domestically and abroad, such as the Summer School on Global Justice and Human Rights at Maastricht University Netherlands, a course on drafting laws and regulations at the State Secretariat, a legal officer course at the Ministry of State Secretariat, drafting AMDAL at the School of Environmental Sciences, University of Indonesia. He is recognized as one of the Mining Law Experts in Asia. Ahmad Redi started his legal career at the Ministry of State Secretariat of Indonesia for several years where he focused on environmental and natural resources issues.

Ahmad Redi has broad and deep experience in various areas of law, including acting hundreds of times as an independent legal expert in various trials in Indonesia and arbitration bodies in various countries. He has also been a keynote speaker hundreds of times in various forums, such as seminars, conferences, workshops, focus group discussions, training / courses, dialogues in many electronic media, both domestically and abroad.
Ahmad Redi actively teaches law at several universities in Indonesia and has published several books, journals, and articles for academic and general purposes. Ahmad Redi is also actively involved as a drafting team for the Omnibus Law on Employment Creation and Perppu on Employment Creation, Omnibus Healthcare Draft Legislation, and drafting teams for laws and regulations at the national and regional levels.
In addition, he has also provided legal services in the form of providing legal opinions and handling litigation to several large companies in Indonesia, both state, regional and private companies. He has also served as an expert in various institutions, such as UNDP, ADB, Prospera, Mentari, and several Ministries / Non-ministerial Government Institutions. Ahmad Redi is also actively registered as a certified mediator from the Supreme Court and the Advisory Board of the Indonesian Mining Law Consultants & Lawyers Association (PERKHAPPI).
